THE TIYYA FOUNDATION

WE HAVE COLLABORATED WITH TIYYA FOUNDATION IN ORDER TO SERVE MORE REFUGEES IN CALIFORNIA.

The word "Tiyya" in Oromo means “my love”, at Tiyya they commonly use this meaning to express their endearment for the refugee and displaced communities they serve.  Tiyya's MISSION is to provide community support and educational opportunities for refugees, immigrants, and displaced American families. They currently SERVE refugee youth and adults, human-trafficking victims, Cuban Paroles, Special Immigration Visa holders, displaced American families, and low income immigrant families. Tiyya's PROGRAMS are diverse and address different needs for communities starting over.  They include ESL (English as a Second Language), after school tutoring for grades K-12, youth soccer, employment workshops and a monthly diaper program for mother's in need.

IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT DINNER, SUPPORT REFUGEES BY DONATING TO TIYYA' S PROGRAMS
Tiyya assists all communities of forced displacement, from any country or religious background.

BECOME A FAMILY MENTOR - TIYYA FOUNDATION does great work for the local community by helping find employment, acquiring basic necessities, and/or coaching English. Most importantly, you will be a friend to those starting over. They also offer a free monthly diaper program that has been quite successful.
